What I Wore ~ Floral Skinnies

Yes! It's Wednesday!
Does it ever feel like after a short week the next week is forever long?!
My 6 year old must feel that way because since Monday he has been asking when his next day off is.
Here is my new go-to outfit.
The pants are comfy and stretchy, the shirt hides my post baby belly that should be gone by now, and I love the colors!
Shirt: Old Navy ($12, bought one in almost every color)
Pants: Kohls-LC Lauren Conrad (FREE, bought with Kohls cash on sale)
Shoes: Target (on sale)
I love my new bracelet and use it to dress up the outfit a little more!
I wasn't even shopping for shoes at Target, I'm sure that's how it usually goes!
Thanks to Lora for taking my pictures!

PEOPLE Magazine + Giveaway

Happy Friday!
Do you know what is coming up this weekend?!
The Oscars are on Sunday!
I love watching all of the beautiful women arriving in what could be the dress of the night in a good way or in a your-stylist-should-be-fired-way.
While I'm watching, I will most likely be covered in sweet potatoes and rice cereal, making dinner, keeping an eye on a Candy Land game, switching clothes from the washer to the dryer and from the dryer to the bed, and taking care of the baby.
I'm going to need to get all of my insider info and see what I missed from my favorite read, PEOPLE Magazine.
I will enjoy a nice bubble bath with PEOPLE Magazine 2013 Oscars Double Issue to catch up on all of the hits and misses of the night.
I love finding out who everyone else loves and who flops to see if I'm on or if my mommy brain has completely taken over.
PEOPLE Magazine covers all of it! The gowns, the best pictures, and my favorite part...the gossip.
PEOPLE Magazine 2013 Oscars Double Issue hits shelves March 1st and is only out until March 18th, which means I will be getting it on the 1st and will make a date to enjoy some momma time.

I'm a girly girl at heart. Ruffles, lace, flowers and poof all speak to me!
I was obsessed with this dress when Penelope Cruz wore it!
What do you think?!
George Clooney & Stacy Keibler                                      Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie
Does anyone wonder if they hang out in real life? With their significant others? That'd be a lot of pretty people in one place! Maybe you didn't believe me when I said flowers, but Stacy Keibler's dress?! Yes, I love that big ol' rosette & I loved Angelina's dress.
To get the weekend started, here is a chance to win a $20 gift card to my favorite place...Target!
You could use the gift card to buy PEOPLE Magazine Oscars Double Issue, some Dove Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt Caramel, bubbles, a new nail polish and you are set!

What I Wore ~ Colorful Cardigan

Happy Wednesday!
When I got the Anthropologie catalog a couple months ago, I was swooning over this colorful cardigan!
I could not justify the price though and didn't give a second thought to it...
Until it went on sale of course!
Thanks to my friend Lora for taking my pictures!
She also took pictures of our precious babes and I'm so crazy about them! They turned out awesome!
Pants & Cardigan: Anthro sale
Lace shirt: Banana Republic
Shoes: Oasap

I wore this cardigan to church and my dad later asked me if it was new. He also asked for me to come do a quick twirl so he could see. I said yes and asked why? He told me he loved it and thought it was very stylish. Seriously, daddy, I love you! You know how to make a girl blush!
Summer posted a tutorial of the twist-and-pin and I decided to try it!
It was super loose, but pretty simple and I need simplicity in my life!

Long Weekend ~ Valentine's Pictures

This weekend was just what I needed.
A couple days to go away with the hubs and our mini.
Then a couple of days with family at my in laws.
A good amount of time was spent driving talking about everything under the sun.
Our families, our living situation, my husband's job, our strengths, our weaknesses, and most importantly our kids.
Our kids are so different and their grandparents let me know that
he is obedient, she is our most pleasant baby, and that she is independent.
They each need something completely different and as a mom I feel like I'm trying to find out how to balance each special personality.

To me, he is my most prized friend. He is my best helper, my biggest fan, and functions well with a routine. Lately he's been laughing a ton. I don't know what is so funny, but sometimes he will clue me in. He has a soft spot for his sisters. He won't admit it, but if they are crying or hurt, he will start crying and panicking right along with them. There aren't many 6 year old brothers who would let their sister sit by them in class and move groups with them, but he does.
My baby is pretty pleasant, but she is most pleasant when her siblings are around. Her face lights up when they run through the room and she tries to do everything they are doing and grab everything they've got.
Headband: The Lil' Cupcake
Big sister is independent, but she is the most nurturing little girl. She takes care of her baby sis and tells her about fifty times a day how cute and sweet and adorable she is (in a high pitched momma voice.) She tries to calm her down in the car, gives her the binky, and will attempt to feed her. She worries about her big brother and little sister almost as much as I do. She loves her make up done, her nails painted, and sharing mom's jewelry. I've never had someone want to be like me and it makes me so nervous that I might let her down.
If he says, "Jump!"
She says, "How high?!"
These 2 are fearless together. She wants to do everything big brother does and he would love a little space. Grandma & Grandpa took them on a 5 mile hike. They don't hike at home, but they were up for the adventure and they both completed it! Him, trying to make sure she was 1 step behind him the whole way and following the instructions. Her, making sure no one tried to carry her so she could do it all by herself.
Miss Independence & Mr. Obedient
My friend Lora offered mini sessions for $30 for a half hour! We are so lucky she fit us in! If you live in Southern California, you should look into doing one the next time she offers!
Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

Valentine's Day Mug Swap

A little while back I saw that Alissa & Caroline were putting together a Valentine's Day mug swap!
I am usually super intimated to join any swaps, but thought I can shop so I can do this!
Not much creativity involved and I love meeting new people!
Amy was my partner and I have to say THANK YOU to her for introducing me to the goodness of dark chocolate! It was one of her faves and I had to try it. I'm loving dark chocolate with sea salt caramel in the middle. Thanks for introducing me to this deliciousness!
I was super excited to get my package! It was so cute!
All of my favorite candies! So glad I took a picture the second I opened the package because the next thing I knew they were gone.
I love Target and happily hopped along to do some shopping for me!
Amy is amazing. I love my mug and sweet treats and hope she liked hers too!
You are so darling! xo

I've been wanting to "dip" something with the kids and decided these would be perfect!
Do you love my new jar as much as I do?!
Head over to Little Miss Momma to look at all of her gorgeous vases & jars!
This was so easy, the kids even got to help!

Thank you to my friend, Lora Knight, for snapping some quick pictures while I was getting the kids dressed for their Valentine's Day shoot! Can't wait to show you them!
There's a preview on my instagram if you want to check it out!
You need:
Jumbo Heart Marshmallows
Red or Pink Candy Melts (Michaels or Joanns or local cake shop)

I melted my candies in a cup I just got from a new friend!
Dipped them and then put some light pink pearls on a few.
Are you all ready for Valentine's Day?!

14 Days of Valentines!

I'm so excited to show off these printables that Madison Design Studio put together for me!
Seriously swooning over how awesome they are!
Last year I did 14 days of Valentines for my husband and he loved it! The kids also loved it!
I was perusing the dollar spot at Target and found darling mini mailboxes. My kids needed them. I didn't know why, but knew I'd find a good use for them.
My kids, like most kids I'm sure, think being a grown up is so cool! Grown ups get to check the mail all by themselves, cook in the kitchen, have their own money, and watch tv whenever they want. I think it's funny and for that reason love pretend items like kitchens and mailboxes.
So guess what?! For 14 days, they get to check their own mail!
This is my real life people. I really wish I could be more on top of it, but with 3 littles always in tow, you are getting these printables the day I started because that's when they were assembled.
I hope you can use some or all or pin them for next year!
You can even use some of them for your significant other if you wanted!
Did I already say amazing?!
No joke, I heart everything about Allison's style!
In the past year I've known her she put together Elevate's graphics, helped with my little girl's Ruffles & Roses party, threw together a Giving Thanks Printable, and most recently did all the graphics for a rockin' TMNT party! Pictures coming soon for that one! She's the real deal and so easy to work with!
Enjoy all these free goodies!

 14. You are a superstar in our family-Starburst
