What I Wore: Princess & Mr. Christmas

Everyone deals with tragedy and pain in their own way.
For me, I step back, cry, reevaluate, make sure my priorities are where I want them to be, worry, have a bit of anxiety, and slowly get back into my routine.
I cherish more, my level of patience increases, and I'm more aware of the little moments that for a mom are the big ones.
The example that I set is what is important to me and to my growing babes, so for this weeks What I Wore I had guests.
As I was lifting my dress to get pictures of my darling bow shoes, I noticed someone had joined me in hopes of playing princess with our pretty dresses.

Do you see that sweet button nose, painted nails and ear to ear smile?
Be still my heart.

I'm kind of obsessed with bows right now.
I posted here wearing a bow bracelet, bow bun, and a scarf tied like a bow.
My dad is the other guest. Every year at the beginning of December and for the whole month of December he is Mr. Festive at church. People always tell me they want to dress like him when they grow up. Seriously such a stud. He alternates with navy, green, red, and red plaid.
Can you imagine how excited he was when I told him I was going to take pictures and then post them on my blog for "the whole world" to see? He has 2 daughters and is quite a good sport. Solid, plaid, stripes, and ostrich red boots...I think he's got style!

If you want to, leave a sweet comment and I'll read them to him tonight!

What I Wore: Pop of Color

A couple of weeks ago, I was in dire need of a girls night!
Lucky for me, I found some sweet gals and off we headed for World Market!
Baby Bay was super excited to be invited along on this adventure and bless her sweet little heart, she slept the whole time!
Right when we walked in, I saw their Life of Pi shop. I'm not going to lie, I saw some of my friends instagram pictures of the scarves at World Market and I needed one! Guess which one I picked?! I thought it'd totally add a pop of color to an outfit I'd been wanting to wear. Plus, all of the jewelry was fabulous! I didn't know World Market carried such darling jewelry like this gold hammered cuff bracelet, Indian gold anklet with bells (which I totally wear as a bracelet,) and gold bangles. Who doesn't love bangles?! I loved how fun these shoes looked with my mint skinnies.
Have you seen Life of Pi yet? I bet our kids would love it, family date night! Life of Pi is the story of an Indian boy named Pi, a zookeeper's son, who survives a disaster at sea and is thrown into an epic journey. While adrift in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, he forms an amazing and unexpected connection with another a fearsome Bengal tiger. The movie opens in theaters November 21, 2012. You can watch the trailer here.

Here's the scarf I picked! Did you guess pink?
Thanks to my amazingly talented friend, Lora Knight, for taking these pictures!

Bow Bracelet

Old Navy

I don't have many scarves, like maybe 3 so we were playing with different ways to wear a scarf and here are 4.
1. Make it look like an infinity scarf
2. Wrap around once and then pull both ends through the middle
3. The bow
4. Fold in half and pull both ends through the loop
Love my arm parties! I won't be skipping by the jewelry section at World Market anymore! Don't be fooled by the anklet, make it a bracelet!
I'm giving you a chance to win some of your own goodies, but first check out this humongous giveaway going on at World Market!

What We Wore-Family Pictures with Shari Hanson Photography

A few months back I won a giveaway for a free session with Shari Hanson!
I couldn't believe it! We were getting ready to have our 3rd babe and I couldn't decide what to do.
I thought maybe newborn pictures with just all of the kids, but then I decided it'd be nice to have a family shot. Shari was amazing and made me feel comfortable even with the extra baby weight hanging around.
She is giving away a holiday session right now. You can nominate someone who you think would love the gift of photography! If you live within 20 miles of Huntington Beach, CA, you must ENTER!
Hope you enjoy our pictures!

Our kids outfits are by a very dear friend of mine:
I seriously love this lady. She made 3 matching outfits just for our kids!
Headband-The Lil Cupcake Shoes-Baby Gap
On the boy-A mix of Old Navy, Gap, and Vans
On the hubs-mix of Kohls & Macys
Sisterly love
Loved the location Shari picked!
Our son was awesome, our daughter tried for a few minutes.

He totally hammed it up for the camera.
Shari was hilarious and told him her named rhymed with cherry along with a few other words.
He ate it all up.
And we were finally able to get one of her looking, with eyes swollen from crying because she scratched her leg on something.
Love this sweet angel face. So glad she's our precious 3rd.
So glad my husband was such a good sport.
On me:
Skirt-Victoria's Secret Shirt-Shop Ruche Shoes-Forever 21
Jewelry-Stella & Dot, Mindy Mae's Market, Bip & Bop, Necklace borrowed from my momma
Shari was awesome to work with! She was so nice and easy going with our family of 5!
If you are in the Orange County area, check her out!
