Works for Me Review & Giveaway

I kind of feel famous today...
Ok, I'm totally pushing it a bit, but I'm super excited to share this fun news!
When I started blogging and was looking for places to link up projects and tips, I stumbled upon We are THAT Family. I loved the site and started linking up for Works for Me Wednesdays. I was contacted by Kristen & Jennifer and guess what?! One of my posts was picked to be put in their new ebook!
See, famous!
I have had this book for awhile now and have had some time to try out a bunch of the awesome tips.
There are over 800 tips in this book ranging from baby help to blogging tips, from marriage help to decorating tips, hospitality and holidays, recipes and parenting and I could go on and on. There are 24 different categories!
One of the reasons I love blogging is because I stumble upon new things to try, whether it be new ways to date my husband, easy crafts to make with my kids, or ways to spruce up our home. I love that women are helping out other women with tips that have worked for them in all aspects of their life and in this book you can find tips for pretty much anything!
 Check this video out!
If you can't wait, you can purchase the book right over above the about section -->

Use the code SUMMERSALE for $2 off the purchase price
$6 for over 800 tips seems pretty awesome to me!
Good luck!

A Letter to the Big Brother

To the big brother of the house:
It's hard to believe that in just a few weeks you will be big brother to 2 little girls.
It's a pretty big job.
If our next little one is like our first, she will be your biggest fan.
She will want to play superheros more than princess because you like superheros.
Instead of her Rapunzel costume she will wear a supergirl or batgirl cape to look like you.
When you aren't home because daddy takes you on a special late night, she won't fall asleep until hours after her bedtime because she has been whining for her "Joe bo bear."
She will cheer as loud as she can for you during soccer games, even when you are running the wrong way.
If you jump off a rock, a chair, an ottoman, the fireplace, or the bed, expect her to follow.
She will tell you how awesome you are for being able to do a cannonball, swim a lap, or just twirl around underwater.
When you finish dinner before her and she loses the race, she will tell you great job.
If you put on your daddy's cologne, she will ask you to find mommy's perfume.
She will laugh with you and be your shadow.
If you help in the kitchen, she will pull up a chair to help.
She will accept the fact that if she agrees to play neighborhood, the fairy treehouse, the castle, and the playhouse will always be under attack and the Batman cave will be the only safe place.
She'll refuse to put on clothes because you don't like to put on clothes.
When bedtime comes, she will only let you help her say her prayer and it will be quite a tender moment to witness.
You will be her big protector in the play place at Chick fil a and make sure she comes out with her shoes and headband still on.
If you thought dancing was annoying with just 1 sister, wait until you have 2 asking you to dance with them in the living room.
You will have quite the little fan base wanting to watch you play on uncle's ipad.
I'm sure it will be frustrating having the little ones breaking your lego creation, wanting to follow you everywhere, and telling your guy friends they love them, but they will just want to be around you because of what a little stud you are.
She might try scratching you or biting you, but you being the patient boy that you are will continue to bite your tongue and come talk to mom about it.
You are my helper, my mostly mellow, sanity saver boy.
I can't imagine life without you as the big brother.
Love your mom.

Happy Friday!
I love finding my favorite 5 items through the week and hope you enjoy them!
These Cherry Buttercream Sandwich Cookies are exactly what I need! Don't they look so delicious?!
Salt Tree

I love this ruler! I absolutely love this color and think the hubs would love to make me one asap!

Awesome serving tray! That yellow chair is pretty darling also!

Since I'm not really the camping type, these s'mores are right up my alley!

I look forward to doing a few of these fun Olympic Crafts with my kids to get them in the spirit!
Have a fabulous weekend!

What I Wore-Lady in Red

I felt kind of bad after I wrote a post about loving my coral shoes, and needed to give my red shoes some attention!
Church is the only place I am dressing up to go right now and skirts and dresses are somewhat comfy.
Other than that I'm lounging looking like a beached whale by the pool.
The rings came off this week, bummer!
I'm not a huge fan of maternity clothes because a lot of what I like can be really expensive so I try to accessorize with my regular clothes.

Skirt-Local Boutique, Undershirt-Layers, Shirt-Target (Maternity), Cardigan-Anthropologie, Shoes-Aldo
Necklace-Brag About It
Melissa makes the most amazing hand stamped jewelry and made us our own Elevate necklaces!
Everyone who attended Elevate got one of these sweet gifts in their swag bags!
Lucky us?! I definitely think so!
She's always offering sweet deals on her fb page, go check her out!
My mom always is sporting her Elevate necklace!
Such a good reminder to try and elevate myself as a wife, a mother, and a friend. I don't think Melissa could have designed anything more perfect!

Wow, 36 weeks, we are almost there! Getting more and more nervous because we are going to have 3, but very excited for her to join us!
While we enjoy some time with our new little peanut, I'm on the lookout for some guest bloggers!
If you would like to guest post, please email me: delightfuldeets(at)gmail(dot)com

Some Elevate Peeps 2012

Summer just put up the wrap up and link party for Elevate!
Here are some pictures that I had my mom take of the day and if I had a free second I took some too.
  Becki was a fabulous speaker!
Us with her before she hopped back on a plane...Awesome that she flew in for the day!
Ashley speaking, loved her, could've listened to her speak all night! She is such an inspiration and I couldn't believe that we all got to spend the day with her.
Holly cut her trip to Hawaii short to come speak to us! I've been following her since I started blogging and was so excited to meet her! Someone told me that they thought I'd be taller, and I was so excited for the compliment! Here's the proof that I'm not...5 ft 2 in.
I got to meet Summer's friend, Robin, from the area who just started a blog! Go check her out!
Meagan, Nay, and Nina
These girls cracked me up with the ding dong minute to win it challenge!
Lauren, Allison, Alissa, & Angie
So funny!
Mandy & me...She's my amazing friend that was put to work all day with our moms!
Nat was awesome and vacuumed for us...in her heels! I bet she vacuums in her heels at home!

Elevate 2012 Wrap Up & Link Party

It's been a month since Elevate and we thought it was the perfect time to share some photos and start our review post link up.  It is a great reminder of the amazing speakers and bonding time we all enjoyed.  It's right about this time that life starts to take over and those goals we set and inspiration we found start to dwindle.  We hope that this look back at the wonderful day we shared helps to reignite the spark you caught a month ago.

Feel free to grab any photos you like, but if you re-post please be sure to give credit to Kristine from Lucky Lime Photography who did such a beautiful job at capturing the wonderful memories for us all.  After you scroll through the photo bomb, link up your Elevate post(s) at the bottom.  We hope to see you next year!

Special thanks to our dessert table sponsors: Pinky's Cupcakery, Rockview Dairy, & Sweet Lemonade

Thank you to Bon Fortune for these brilliantly blue snack baskets

The incredibly entertaining Nina {and peanut} from Momma Go Round
