Mrs. H's Wedding

Happy Monday!
We are linking up with Absolute Mommy today for the What I Wore: Wedding Edition
Happy Anniversary to her and her hubs!
This is Mrs. J narrating for Mrs. H because I sprung this on her last minute and she is working through the night helping deliver sweet babies!
So, I pretty much get to say whatever I want...awesome!
My husband and I especially loved this wedding day.
I asked Mr. J if he had any friends that my sister would like. He said she might be interested in one of his teaching assistants {this was during our BYU days}
He set them up and they are awesome for each other.
Can I just say I might have told him in a luncheon toast he still didn't deserve her?!
I love him and love how much he loves her.
It still haunts me to this day, but I think everyone was waiting for my sarcastic personality to take over and it did!
When it comes to my baby sister, I am worse than our 7 brothers combined.
Mrs. H designed her own dress, her colors were black, cream & gold, and they got married in December.
I'm not going to lie, she wasn't a bridezilla, but she did know what she wanted.
It was a gorgeous day!
Her new sister in law, best friend from 4th grade, best friend from the age of 3, and I got to be her bridesmaids. Our dresses were from edressme and we added a black sash. We wore darling Joey O's that had a fun bow on the front and killed my feet right away.
All of the decorations were very chic and classy. The reception was at our parents' house and the majority took place on the tennis court with little twinkle lights everywhere!
Remember how I said she designed her dress?
Right under the 2nd ruffle above her belly button, it detached and she switched skirts to dance.
Yep, she's totally the celebrity in our family.
Her shoes were Nine West.
The darling couple have been married for about 4 1/2 years.

Mrs. J's Wedding

Happy Anniversary to Megan and her hubby! They are celebrating 7 years today!
Crazy to think that in just a few months, we will be married 7 years too!
I married my sweetheart in the sweltering heat in August.
I was a pretty easy-to-please bride.
A few breakdowns since my fiance was working in Chicago until the week we got married, but nothing major.
I had the typical bridesmaid dresses that the girls would have no reason to wear again.
My sister actually helped design them and I loved what she picked.
We all wore pink heels from Victoria's Secret.
I was young when we got married.
I love all the girls I had in my wedding, but after 7 years, I definitely wouldn't have had that many.
I had the bow and rosettes added along with the lace scallops along the bottom.
We danced to Kalai, Divide Me & the hubs whispered sweet nothings to me about the wonderful day.
I loved my flowers and I wish that lady was still in business!
She was the best in the city.
We flew our photographer in from Utah and he was great to work with.
Also it was cheaper to fly him in and pay for his expenses than it would have been to find someone in California.
You know how people tell you to enjoy every moment on your day?
It goes by so fast.
I didn't even realize all of the groomsmen were missing when we came out.
I didn't notice the flower/cake people didn't fill up the cake tubes with flowers like they were supposed to.
I guess our photographer left a little early to catch his flight back home.
I missed my sister in law's bridesmaid dress slip down and reveal her purple bra when she was dancing.
It didn't occur to me to take a second to eat until my sister in law shoved a plate at us on our way out.
The day was perfect to me.

I'm Growing Up {and out!}

I'm growing up!
I curled my hair for church, all by myself!
I know, I'm in my later 20's, mother of 2 1/2, and should be able to do my full head.
In my defense, my sweet sister always helps me with the girly stuff and now I'm coming to the realization that we won't be living by each other for awhile if ever so I need to grow up.
I spent the morning with Kate and have to admit: 1 minute I thought she was making this look way easier than it was and the next I was telling her {aka the computer screen} thanks for being such a genius!
Am I a pro?! Definitely not, it took me 45 minutes and I thought my sister was going to pee her pants from laughing at me when I called to tell her.
In comes the saint of the morning, my husband. He probably wondered what the heck I was doing in the bathroom, but I didn't want anyone to see in case I couldn't finish it.
12:58 I tell him I want a picture, church starts at 1:00
See? Total love.
On the babes~mixture of H&M, Gap, Old Navy
On me~skirt H&M, undershirt Layers, shirt Anthropologie, shoes Jessica Simpson
And here is our little pumpkin at 25 weeks. I've been sick with her the longest, 18 weeks and counting. She was thrilled to be getting her picture taken and was flip flopping every time the kids said cheese. We love her to the moon and back already.

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had such a Happy Easter!
After the past few months we have had, I was determined to make it awesome for the kids!
Of course, I left it until last minute and this is what we were able to throw together!
The hubs doesn't even have a pinterest and he was grabbing rubber bands to decorate the eggs. Is this an egg decorating tip I should already know?!
Easter morning the kids were thrilled to find their baskets filled with little goodies! Love the little nest on the back on L's head with her bears shirt and striped pants! She is demanding to pick out her jammies these days. And well, little buddie loves his muscle shirt because that's exactly what it is~snug to his muscles!
We had an awesome hunt in my parents backyard with family that was in town.
Warm California weather-check, tennis court to play on-check, heated pool-check, tons of grass-check
I'm obsessed with their backyard!
Family, donuts, sugar cookies to be frosted and you have a pretty perfect morning!
Off to church we go! Thanks to my wonderful mother in law for surprising the kids with a huge Easter package with new outfits!
I think the day went well, they were out in 3 minutes and I had to get a picture of the matching sleeping babes! I'm convinced there isn't a better job in this world!

Batman 5th Birthday Party

My baby turned 5!
Why is 5 so much older than 4?!
Maybe it's because kindergarten is a few short months away and then traveling or going to Disneyland or sleeping in will be pretty much be a thing of the past!
I asked my little buddy what kind of party he wanted and he chose Batman!
I was able to throw his party together pretty quickly thanks to some amazing etsy shops!
These ladies were so great to work with and got everything to me so fast!
*Tyler at LollipopInk has the most darling invites & party printables! My order was processed and finished in a matter of hours! She is unbelievably affordable and I loved everything she put together!
{invites, thank you cards, water bottle wrappers, cupcake toppers, party favor tags, food labels & banner}
*In a panic, I wrote Cupcake Social needing sprinkles, but when I got to her store it turned into a little more! I kept finding things that would be perfect! She sent everything and got it to me in time even though I ordered during a holiday weekend!
{yellow & blue sprinkles, navy twine, & blue cupcake liners}
*I found superhero capes for my lollipops and The Party Project sent them right over! I just had to print them out and dress our little guys!
{superhero Tootsie Pops}
*Pretty Sweet Stuff sent out my black paper straws also during the holiday weekend and was very sweet!
{black & white paper straws}

We had batmowheels (homemade oreos), Batman energy drinks (koolaid), cupcakes, Superhero lollipops, and pizza!
The day before the party, my sweet sister in law helped me make 18 Batman capes!
I rented a Batman bundt pan from a local cake store and luckilythe cake came out in 1 piece! We had a real size Batman drawing welcoming the kids in his cave and the real Batman made an appearance at the party. He took the kids on a hunt to find some candy, dodged mini bombs (tennis balls) for a bit, and handed them their new capes! Batman, also known as my younger brother, was an awesome sport! Target spoiled me and had Batman themed everything in the $1 section so for treat pails each child got a yoyo, coloring book, batman bracelet, boomerang, and some candy!
We used his Batman cave for the centerpiece and had superheroes flying out everywhere! The cake stands I made and used for an anniversary party I will be posting soon.
Some children came in costume so for cake & presents, our Ninja turtle showed up! I think he loved his party and boy do we love him!
