Bunny Cupcake Cake

Hey everyone! I shared this a couple weeks ago over at Made By Munchie's Mama  and wanted to share it here in case anyone is looking for some Easter dessert!
I've put together a simple bunny cake, thanks to Betty Crocker!
I have a hard time sharing the spatula in the kitchen. I always want to have my kids help, but it is hard for me to let them help. They did awesome with the bunny! My son was very good about covering one cupcake before moving on and my daughter put 1 marshmallow on every cupcake she could get to.
Here's Mr. Bunny in all his marshmallow glory.
ears-5 cupcakes each
then 3, 4, 4, 3 for the head
{you only need 24 cupcakes for this darling bunny}
We used strawberry frosting for the ears and nose, thin mints for the eyes and mini chocolate chips for the whiskers and mouth.
*You could use peppermint patties or grasshopper cookies for the eyes and black frosting for the mouth and whiskers*
The original from here
Looks pretty similar right?!
We made grass cupcakes with Easter eggs/nests, we have really great imaginations!
This is the perfect dessert for an Easter egg hunt/party. The kids will love it, it didn't take forever to put together, and it's festive!
Have an awesome weekend! If you get a chance, check out my newest, most exciting project! I'm working with Summer and we just announced it!

The Elevate Mini Blog Conference will be held in Huntington Beach, CA on June 9, 2012

Our main goal in organizing this event is to provide an opportunity for bloggers to gather together to be inspired and uplifted.  There will be speakers, there will be crafts, there will be food and there will be an opportunity to bond as friends, business owners or bloggers and as women.  We will be focusing on all the uplifting things that the blog world has to offer and how to avoid those negative things that can drag us down.  The Elevate Conference is about helping women to elevate themselves, elevate their blogs or businesses and elevate each other.

Next week we will be launching the elevate blog which will have information on the schedule, speakers and sponsors.

We are so excited to be partnering with Plaid Crafts and Expressions Vinyl as sponsors for this event as well as many others.  If you would like information on becoming a sponsor for this event, please contact us at elevateblogconference@gmail.com

We're Having a...

GIRL!
We have one sweetheart of a boy, one active princess girl and we are adding another girl to the mix!
To be honest, I was pretty surprised.
The old wives tales made my guessing even harder. One quiz online said, "50% chance you are having a boy!" Really, I could have guessed that!
Meat usually sounded good to me, cheese not as much-boy
My belly resembles a watermelon-girl
The heart rate was faster-girl
My husband has more brothers-boy
I was craving sweets, fruits and veggies-girl
My son said he asked Heavenly Father before he came here only to be given sisters because his first sister came when he was 2 and he has loved her ever since. Out of the mouths of babes, does it get any sweeter?!
I am determined to help my 2 girls have the amazing sister/best friend/closet sharing relationship I've had with my sister.
I envisioned bunk beds and train tracks, legos and monster trucks, soccer in the backyard and a whole bunch of dirt.
I'm now seeing American Doll books and Barbie dolls, endless hours of reading and dressing up, flowers and skinny jeans, and still a bunch of dirt!
Our big boy has a lot of responsibility in scaring off the boys that will come calling around our house!
Trust me, he is already putting his collection of nerf guns to use!

That's What Friends Are For

I was getting ready to start watching The Bachelor at my sister in law's house and my bombshell friend walks in wearing this...
Since I'm pregnant with our sweet peanut, have all day sickness, and haven't been out of "comfy" clothes in probably 3 months, I asked her to take pictures of her outfit for me to post! Being the darling friend she is, she did and I love them!
Shirt & Pants-Forever 21, Shoes-Guess via Ross, Purse-Coach, Sunglasses-Burberry
I'm loving the red and nude together!
