My Friday 5

Happy Friday!
I'm so excited for General Conference this weekend!
Homemade cinnamon rolls, Mr. J home, and just being able to relax sounds fabulous to me!
Love these Temple pictures and want one for my kids rooms! It looks like such a simple project, I hope it is!
Sassy Sites has a post just dedicated to fabulous ideas she's found for General Conference. I love all of them!
I think I'm gonna go with the picture bingo from Oopsey Daisy, I think the boy will love it!
Very cute letter made with cinnamon sticks! Love the colors and the felt flower!
I am dying over how beautiful these dressers turned out, I think I need a few lessons from Jenn!
Little Miss L's 2nd birthday is coming up soon and I would love to make rock candy! Found this great tutorial over at Gluesticks!
Have a great weekend!

Teal, Pink & Cream Baby Shower

I had the opportunity to throw my cousin a baby shower in Arizona last weekend!
I live in California so it was a very quick trip, less than 48 hours.
It was me, my aunt, my mom, and my 2 kids in a 5 seater car with an excessive amount of "stuff" in the back.
I guess you could call this baby shower in a trunk!
We {I} had a ton of fun putting this together and couldn't have done it without my cousin, aunt and mom.
I had a vision of everything being teal, pink and cream and loved how it came together.
My cousin made the Sprinkles coconut cupcake. They were so yummy and rich!
I found the cupcake toppers at Silver Scraps and absolutely loved them!
Nicole was incredible to work with!
I didn't give her a ton of notice and she got right to work and they were delivered right in time.
They are exactly my style and I would definitely order from her again, aren't they so sweet?!
Here is the table! I brought tree stumps from home {remember excessive amount in the back?}and I really like the added height it gave. Plus it was great for the cake pops to stand.
I got the tree stump idea from Jenny Cookies, her site is unreal!
Don't ever put 2 girls in charge of a drill {is that the one we'd need to put holes in the stump?}
It gave my cousin's husband a good laugh when he got home from work.
We are lucky to still have fingers!
My aunt put this together while I was showering, thanks!
Sometimes I go a bit overboard and love it that everyone went with the flow!
Who looks that pretty when they are over 8 months pregnant?
Not me, that's for sure.
My cousin's friend is a caterer and made these yummy drinks.
She made them with limemade, sprite, and raspberry syrup!
I purchased the straws from Hey YoYo who was also amazing to work with!
They were priced extremely well and I got a bunch of fun straw flags in an email right after I bought them.
I got them right in time, thanks to Amanda for shipping them out asap!
We made coconut cupcakes, meltaway cookies, cake batter pops, and berry popcorn.
We sat in here to open presents and chat for a bit.
That rocking chair was my cousin's when she was little, so precious!
My mom and I made the diaper cake and I made the headband holder.
I attached the little lace outfits to a Pier 1 shabby chic door knob and put some ruffle bloomers on the rocker.
No joke, 20 minutes after the last person left, lunch was made for the kids and everything was packed up.
My aunt had a wedding to go to and my mom and I had to be back for church the next day.
It was so fun being with my cousin.
Our kids get along really well and we can just hang out and there is always something to talk about!
I will have some fun tutorials for this stuff up soon!

What I wore-Baby Shower

Before we moved to California {about 5 months ago} we lived in Arizona.
The saving grace for me about living there was my amazing cousin.
We moved there from San Francisco, and I will admit, I was on a city high.
It was an extremely hard adjustment for me and our relationship with my cousin and her family seriously made our experience so much better.
Our husbands played golf together-more frequently than we got to enjoy our pedis together-but since their golf was free, they thought it evened out :)
Our kids were 4,3,2,1...so pretty much they played awesome together.
My cousin is pregnant with the last one and I drove to Arizona for less than 48 hours to throw her a shower.
With my mom, aunt, and my 2 kids...
5 seater car...
Fun times!
You can see pictures from the shower here!

And here's the glowing 3rd time mom to be!
On her-I'm not sure of the pants, but the shirt is mine from Victoria's Secret
I love it! I wore it pre pregnancy, during pregnancy, and post pregnancy.
{it's obviously not maternity}
It always flows pretty well and for being lacy and delicate, it hasn't snagged or anything.
Mrs. P wouldn't let me wear my shoes in these so I'm trying to bend and not look so tall at 5' 2"
Yep, we are shorties!
